ABB wins $25 million contract in Vietnam |

Switzerland-based Automation and Power Technologies Group ABB on February 5 won a 25 million USD contract to provide equipment for a cement plant in Vietnam.
Under the contract with the Vietnam Cement Corporation (Vicem), ABB will provide power and automation technologies to a projected cement plant of Vicem to help improve production output and energy efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.
The plant will be built in southern Binh Phuoc province with a designed capacity of 5,500 tonnes of clinker per day.
It is scheduled to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2009.
